Key Persons

At Lote Tree nursery, all staff members are highly trained, qualified, and bilingual, dedicated to providing your children with the highest standard of care, support, and education. We embrace the key person approach, recognizing the importance of a special relationship between each child and their key worker. This approach fosters a sense of security for both you and your child, enabling them to form a strong bond with their key person. With this secure foundation, children can confidently explore, play, and learn within a safe environment. Activities and learning experiences are thoughtfully planned in line with the EYFS framework, and tailored to meet each child’s unique needs.

For the parents

The key worker approach at Lote Tree Nursery offers parents a dedicated staff member who thoroughly understands the developmental milestones and care needs of each child. This personalised care gives you peace of mind, knowing that your child is in good hands, with attention tailored to the information shared during the gradual admission process. By collaborating closely with parents, key workers ensure that the care provided reflects the child’s individual needs, fostering a strong partnership between home and nursery for a seamless and supportive environment.

Settling in

At Lote Tree Nursery Ltd, your child’s key worker will meet with you during the settling-in sessions to discuss your child’s routines, preferences, and any important details. This information is carefully integrated into your child’s daily care, ensuring a smooth and effective transition into nursery life. Each key worker is highly skilled and knowledgeable, offering parents valuable advice, guidance, and support. They also assist with the transition from nursery to school, providing reassurance and ensuring continuity in your child’s development.

Child’s key person

Your child’s key person will typically be the first to greet you and your child upon arrival at the nursery, helping your child settle into the session. They will be your main point of contact for any questions or concerns you may have. The key person will also handle your child’s daily care needs, such as nappy changes. Most communication with parents will be facilitated by the key worker or, when necessary, by the nursery manager. To ensure consistent care at Lote Tree, each key worker has a designated secondary key worker who steps in during any absence, such as sick days or holidays. The key person works closely with their secondary key worker and other staff, ensuring they are well informed about the needs of the children in their care. This system promotes seamless communication and ensures that your child’s needs are always met, even in the key worker’s absence.
